I always love the excitement of styling for weddings. When a friend told me that Monica needed a stylist I was of course all in! Monica knew just what she wanted for her big day. This vintage inspired half-up style was a perfect fit for her strapless gown on a bright southern California December day. This color is not my formulation, although I love it on her. We set her 2nd day hair in 1" hot iron curls and let them cool while she had a mimosa. After brushing the curls and smoothing them with an anti-humectant, I twisted and worked her hair to one side. Three large pin curls sit on top of an elegantly wrapped side pony and a front finger wave completes the look. Believe it or not I actually slipped clip in extensions for this one, they blended perfectly among the curls and waves of this style. You can try a loose or more natural version of this by using smaller curls or less humectant, taking a couple tendrils down here and there or allowing the bangs to fall forward into the face. Lovely!
